  • It's 5 am and still dark when we hop on our scooter. The air is nice and cool, but we know it will get hot soon. . On our way to the templecomplex, we pass many tuk tuk drivers, all bringing tourists to that one spot: sunrise at Ankor Wat. . On arrival, we are not surprised that many people are rushing for a good spot. "Hurry up" I shout to Leon. . In front of the lake we find a good spot but have to avoid other camera's and phones on selfiesticks. . We wait for a while till the first light hits the temple...in less then half an hour we see a display of colors, going from bright orange till pink. . We manage to take some good pictures, which is quite a challenge we can tell you. Before the sun comes up, we leave and look back at the crowd behind us. "Imagine having this place to ourselves" whispers Leon to me.   • This is a typical view of the daily life on Malapascua Island, most activities happen in or around the water. . Did you know most boats around here have a car engine installed? They can't shift so have to stay in the first gear, which makes a terrible noise and they can't go fast. . It's fairly cheap, you can go where ever you want and get to places where tuk tuks can't come. . P.s. you can find this gate, east of Bayon.
